Get creative Thursday evening at Painting with Deb at The Feedmill at 6pm and you can take home your very own rendition of this lovely cow. Debbie provides the paints, canvas, and instructions for $35. Space is limited so hurry to RSVP by messaging her on Facebook at Deborah Leonard Moody.

Thursday also offers the opportunity to quench your thirst for good, live music. Ed Leonard performs at Junction on 36 starting at 6:30 and Taylor Branch will play an acoustic show at The Bar Somewhere Else starting at 7:30.

On Saturday, there will be a Special Olympics track meet at the Gatesville High School stadium from 9-noon. Come out and cheer on these very special athletes! Volunteers are still needed to help these kids have a great day. Contact Brent Chatfield 254-265-0400 to volunteer. (Note: the "Run to Remember" group has cancelled their Saturday morning run to allow members to volunteer at this event)
Marksmen (and aspiring marksmen) will want to participate in the 4th annual Coryell County Shootout on Saturday morning.
Proceeds from the event help support the Coryell 4H Gun Club.
The second Saturday of each month is Chamber Market Days. Stop by the Cotton Belt Depot between 9am & 1pm to pick up something special from the vendors there. Bring the kids, too. You'll have an opportunity to have some special Spring photos made!
While you are out, stop by the Grand Opening of The Feedlot. Free food and refreshments along with raffle prizes, special grand opening discounts, and a free equine nutrition seminar presented by Lindsay Burer of Bluebonnet Feeds and Stride Animal Health. Seminar to start promptly at noon.
Just down the road from the Feedlot, you'll see the big tent at Higginbotham Brothers. They are having a huge sale on everything you need to get your home ready for spring. Plus, they'll have hot dogs and drinks and a bounce house for the kids! 8am-4pm on Saturday.
Support our neighbors this weekend by going to the Turnersville Community Center fundraiser Saturday night. Enjoy a fried fish dinner starting at 6pm ($8/person) then stay for the dance featuring Ed Leonard from 7-11pm ($10/person, $15/couple). BYOB - no glass.
On Sunday, you can help out the Jonesboro Volunteer Fire Department by attending their annual Firemans BBQ dinner fundraiser April 15 ,2018 from 11:00 am until 2:00pm. Adult plates - $10.00 , Children - $6.00 Dine in or carry out. Homemade desserts available.
