Weekend Planner

July 19, 2018

In case you haven't heard, it is hot out there and it doesn't look like we will get any relief this weekend! Here are some tips for having fun and staying cool in Gatesville this weekend!

ALL WEEKEND

The City of Gatesville welcomes you to Raby Park where there is plenty of shade and the kids can cool off at the free splash pad.

Next door at the City Pool, admission is $3 for ages 4 and up (3 & under are free). The pool is open Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat 12pm - 6pmTues, Thurs 12pm - 10pm and Sunday 1pm-6pm.

The Last Drive-In Picture Show and the Cinema offer some great family entertainment this weekend:

If you opt to stay in and spend some time on Facebook this weekend, don't miss the local talent posting videos on Gatesville's Summer Sounds Page. Like and share to encourage these aspiring musicians.  Maybe you'd like to make a video of your own to enter the competition?

If you know a volunteer fireman in the county, find a way to say thank you. These dedicated folks have worked hard to protect lives and property this week and it doesn't look like their job is going to get any easier in the coming days.  Monetary donations are always welcome at our local Volunteer Fire Departments.
